Fabric

The LYCRA company announced that they has launched several projects to help achieve its emissions reduction goals. Among them, the partnership with Qore to commercialize bio-based LYCRA QIRA and the project of converting QIRA® into bio-based PTMEG (technology to increase the proportion of recyclable Lycra fiber), making bio-based LYCRA® fiber possible, made from QIRA® , has been patented and will be launched in early 2025. LYCRA® fiber is expected to reduce its carbon footprint by up to 44%.

Exhibition

The Magic Show this year is divided into three parts: Magic, Project, and Sourcing At Magic (the procurement event exhibition that we will soon attend). The Sourcing At Magic will showcase the latest innovations from more than 1,100 international and domestic manufacturers, suppliers and service providers from 23 countries. The main stage will cover topics such as fashion industry technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainable innovation.

Brand

High-street style brand Primark has launched a collaborative collection of 30 athleisure items with the Italian sportswear brand Kappa. The collection includes essentials, accessories, and underwear for both men and women, featuring highlights such as hoodies, half-zip pullover, t-shirts, as well as breathable, moisture-wicking seamless sets and bodysuits.

The limited collection will be priced at around 26 pounds and will first be available in 16 countries.

POP Fashion released a key trend report of athleisure for the 25/26 autumn and winter high street style, here is a summary of the report as following

The trendy details for women’s sets includes y2k, cropped tops, low-rise pants, and oversized fits.

The men’s sets might focus on improved fabric quality, as well as sweatshirt collars, sweatpants legs, waistbands, and graphic prints.
